Two Years, Two Losses, and still hoping for our Miracle
Organised by Rita Regan · November 4, 2026

For the past two years, my husband and I have been trying to make our dream of becoming parents a reality. What we thought would happen naturally has turned into a journey filled with doctor’s appointments, medications, injections, procedures, and more heartbreak than we ever imagined.
After struggling with unexplained infertility, we turned to IVF with so much hope.
This year alone, we’ve undergone two egg retrievals and two embryo transfers. Both times, we received the news we had been praying for — a positive pregnancy test. And both times, that happiness was heartbreakingly short-lived as we experienced very early pregnancy losses.
It’s difficult to describe what it’s like to finally see those two pink lines after years of waiting, only to watch that dream slip away.
Despite everything, we are incredibly grateful that we still have two healthy, genetically tested embryos and another opportunity to try.
Unfortunately, IVF comes with an enormous financial burden. Between treatments, medications, procedures, embryo storage, and expenses not fully covered by insurance, the costs continue to add up. We’re doing everything we can to keep moving forward while navigating unexpected bills and insurance challenges.
Asking for help isn’t something that comes naturally to me, especially knowing that so many people are facing struggles of their own. But I’ve learned that sometimes even the smallest act of kindness can make an enormous difference.
Any support received will go directly toward our fertility treatment and related medical expenses, helping us continue pursuing our dream of becoming parents.
Whether you’re able to contribute, share our story, or simply keep us in your thoughts and prayers, we are truly grateful.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for giving us a little more hope.
