✨ The Road to Baby Harris ✨

This isn’t the easiest thing for me to share, but sometimes it truly takes a village. ❤️ For those of you who don’t know us, Chad and I have been together for 8 ½ years and married for 2. From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to be parents and grow our family. For over a year, we’ve been trying to make that dream a reality. Earlier this year, I experienced an ectopic pregnancy and later had a 13 cm ovarian cyst removed. Losing our little nugget was devastating—truly one of the hardest things I’ve faced outside of losing my dad. Because PCOS runs in my family, I pushed for testing, but all of my labs came back “normal.” In May, I reached out to Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine for answers. They immediately confirmed that something wasn’t right. After several tests, we discovered my AMH level—which measures ovarian reserve—was .82 (for my age, it should be around 3). This led to a diagnosis of Diminished Ovarian Reserve (DOR). Because of this, our best chance of having a baby is through IVF. If I hadn’t gone when I did, I may not have even had this option. While insurance does cover some of the process, it unfortunately does not cover egg freezing, storage, or genetic testing. Even after what insurance pays, we’re still looking at nearly $10,000 out of pocket just to begin. We applied for a grant through The Gift of Parenthood, but unfortunately, we didn’t receive it. So now we’re faced with financing this dream. And as much as I hate asking for help, I know this is bigger than me. If you feel led to support us—whether financially, by sharing our story, or simply by keeping us in your prayers—we would be so incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps bring us one step closer to holding our miracle. 💕 Thank you for being part of our journey.
