Help Us Grow Our Little Family After Cancer 🤍
Organised by Ginny · October 28, 2026

Hello 🍀, we're Ginny and Benny.
We first met when we were 10 years old and have now been together for 16 years, married for 13, and we dream of becoming parents.
After two heartbreaking miscarriages, life took another unexpected turn. In 2022, at 34 years old, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and discovered that I carry the BRCA2 genetic mutation. What followed was chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, radiotherapy and years of treatment.
During my second round of chemotherapy, I also lost my mum, who had been battling breast cancer herself for 15 years. It was one of the most painful periods of my life, physically, emotionally and financially.
I'm incredibly grateful to now be in remission and to have another chance at life. But while the treatments helped save my life, they also severely affected my fertility.
For years, we fought for my health. Now, we're hoping for a chance to grow our family.
In November 2025, we underwent our first IVF cycle. We retrieved five eggs, but only one embryo made it to genetic testing. Sadly, it was found to have a chromosomal abnormality and could not be transferred.
After everything we've been through, that result was particularly difficult.
We're now considering another IVF cycle while exploring egg donation and surrogacy as alternative paths to parenthood.
After years of cancer treatment and fertility challenges, the financial cost of continuing this journey has become overwhelming.
We're raising funds to help cover fertility treatments, embryo creation, and potentially surrogacy-related expenses.
Asking for help doesn't come naturally to us. We've always worked hard, built our lives together and tried to navigate life's challenges as best we could. But we've come to realise that some dreams take more than two people to achieve.
Benny and I have always dreamed of building a little family together. We have so much love to give, and we hope that one day we'll finally get to hold our own little miracle in our arms.
If you are able to contribute or simply share our story, it would mean more to us than words can express.
Thank you for giving us hope and a chance at parenthood. 🤍
With love and gratitude, Ginny & Benny
