Courtney & Italo's Family-Building Journey

I know many women have the same dream as me. I know I'd be a great mom if the universe allows. I haven't really had a fair shot at trying due to medical complications and I'd love to grow my family with my husband. As a woman that's 32 years old with no children this would be a dream come true. I feel like I’ve been a reproductive disaster, with a ectopic pregnancy in 2009 to being diagnosed with endometriosis. I’ve lost both fallopian tubes, my only remaining ovary isn’t functioning. All I have left is my uterus. I’m not letting what’s happened keep me from trying all I can to still be able to carry a child. The funds would cover a donor egg, my insurance covers all except that one thing. My husband and I have such hope and believe with all our fight that we will have a baby one day. Thank you for the opportunity, and all that you do for women like me. Unfortunately there are way too many of us that have the same fight. We are all in this together.

How we'll use the funds: This grant would cover the egg donation. I have insurance that pays for my IVF treatment, but it will not cover egg donation, even when appealed.
