Brittany & Samuel's IVF Journey

My name is Brittany Garriott, and I am 34 years old. I live in Greenfield, IN, with my wonderful husband, Samuel, and our three beautiful children. As a blended family, we cherish the moments we share, but our hearts long for more. We are applying for this grant to help us with the costs of IVF, which our insurance does not fully cover. Although we have some savings, the financial burden of this journey can be overwhelming, and we hope this grant can ease that weight. The biggest challenge in my fertility journey has been rooted in my past. Six years ago, I made the difficult decision to have my tubes removed during a time when I was in an abusive marriage. I felt trapped and scared, not wanting to risk bringing another child into that environment. Leaving that marriage was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I was strong enough to break free four years ago. The journey toward healing has been long, but three years ago, I met Samuel, my amazing husband. Through his love and support, I have found strength and resilience I didn't know I had. As we look to the future, Samuel and I dream of expanding our family. We want to experience the joy of a healthy and supported pregnancy, something I never had the chance to enjoy before. This grant would mean everything to us; it would help us complete our blended family and allow Samuel to be able to present for the entire pregnancy through birth since with his son he was robbed of that opportunity due to unfortunate circumstances with his sons mother . I want to provide our children with a sibling and create even more cherished memories together. The opportunity to receive this grant would not just ease the financial strain of IVF; it would represent hope and possibility for our family. It would mean that we can finally take this step towards growing together, to fulfill a dream that has felt so distant. I am incredibly grateful for the chance to share our story, and I hope to inspire others who may be on a similar journey. Thank you for considering our application.
