A Little More Love: Help Us Grow Our Family

My fiancé and I are hoping for the opportunity to grow our family through fertility treatment. After experiencing the heartbreak of pregnancy loss, we are trying to find a path forward. At 37, I have learned that together we are unable to have a child without the use of IVF. I have an unexpectedly low ovarian reserve and found out that time is not on our side.

Unfortunately, the treatment recommended to us comes with significant financial costs. Our insurance does not cover the IVF procedures, and the expenses could reach approximately $20,000. It is a cost that we simply cannot manage on our own right now.

Asking for help is not easy for me. I have always wanted to handle things independently, and sharing something so personal with strangers makes me feel vulnerable. But I am learning that sometimes we have to allow others the opportunity to help us when we cannot do everything ourselves.

We are hoping to raise $15,000 to help offset the cost of fertility treatment, including the procedures and related expenses that insurance does not cover.

One of the biggest reasons this dream means so much to me is my son. He is on the autism spectrum, and has the biggest heart. Family and meaningful connections are incredibly important to him. Till this day, he has always dreamed of having a sibling, and seeing how loving, gentle, and wonderful he is with younger children makes my heart ache for the opportunity to give him that experience.

My fiancé and I have no children of our own together and would love to have the chance to raise a child together. We have more love we'd like to share, and the thought of growing our family together means more to me than I can put into words. Every contribution, regardless of size, would bring us a little closer to having this opportunity and mean the world to us.
