30 Years of Hope: Help Me Fulfill My Dream of Motherhood

Organised by Farah Elia · October 31, 2026

My husband and I have been married since 1996, and for nearly three decades, we have carried one dream in our hearts: to have a child of our own. Throughout our marriage, our journey toward parenthood has been filled with heartbreak, disappointment, and emotional and financial struggles. I worked three jobs to help cover the expenses of fertility treatments, hoping that one day, all our sacrifices would be worth it. We underwent approximately four or five artificial insemination attempts, along with medications to stimulate my ovaries. Our doctor was incredibly kind and understanding, even providing medication samples to help ease the financial burden. Unfortunately, despite all our efforts, every attempt ended in disappointment. The emotional pain became overwhelming as I watched relatives and friends celebrate birthdays, family gatherings, and precious moments with their children. While I was happy for them, I struggled with the sadness of wondering whether I would ever experience motherhood myself. Eventually, that sadness turned into severe depression. There were days when I couldn't bring myself to leave the house, brush my hair, or even brush my teeth. I isolated myself in my bedroom, unable to face the world, as the dream I had held onto for so many years seemed further and further away.

Today, although I am older, my greatest dream remains unchanged: all I have ever wanted is to become a mother. My husband and I still long to experience the love, happiness, and fulfillment of raising a child together. We are now hoping to pursue gestational surrogacy with the help of a woman who can carry a baby for us. Unfortunately, the cost of this process is extremely high, and after years of emotional and financial sacrifices, we cannot afford to continue without assistance. This is why I am reaching out through this fundraiser, with humility and hope, to ask for your kindness and generosity. Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean more to us than words can express. Your support would help us take another step toward fulfilling a dream we have been praying and working toward for nearly three decades. I understand that everyone has their own responsibilities and challenges, and I sincerely appreciate anyone who is willing and able to help. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story and for your compassion, prayers, and generosity. May God bless each and every one of you for helping us continue our journey toward becoming parents.
